Walk in the Sand...

Today has been a good day!   I got a few things settled that were...unsettling me.  I also found this outfit.....I mean, I know I've gone on about Indyra Originals already before but....I feel like I haven't said all that needs to be said.  Every time I go over there I find something new I love.  I love their new lines and how you get one outfit with accessories..and all the colors and appliers for what we'd pay for a shirt some places.  Seriously?!  Why are you still sitting here....

This outfit stuck out to me because lately I've been feeling a little beachy keen.  It begged a walk on the beach and it's exactly what I did...stopping along this new Beach Cottage from Inspired as I went.  It's a cute little hide away with scripted doors and a working fan...

But the outfit, Gaia Pants Set.....the mesh slacks are textured with the soft flowy looking texture that makes me think of water...or a mermaid.  And adding that I can also wear my Lush's with it well...again, why are you sitting here.  It comes with the necklace and a set of earrings too....in how many colors?  OH right...SEVEN!

I think I may stay in it all summer....except I got the Elisne Trible Maxi dress too sooo...eventually I am going to have to come out of these.  -sighs-

She Wore An....

I promised myself a nice relaxing weekend.  With RH off doing...RH things....I've been left to my own devices.  I admit, relaxing is not exactly...easy for me but I promise I moved at a slow meandering pace as I finished off a few projects and dug into mesh!

Last year I promised myself I would never buy another bikini.  I had enough.  I mean, how many do you need?  Apparently....one more, because when I went wondering through BOOM today I spotted the epic Yellow Polka Dot Bikini....THAT SHE WORE FOR THE FIRST TIME TODAY! Yes...of course you have to watch the video, its so adorable....and totally put me in the mood for a nice time at the beach.

I spent a good portion of the weekend finishing up the Series two of the Tote Beach Towel Rezzer and seriously, I wanted to just use it for myself!   So, tugging out the tote I skipped off to the edge of the beach and flopped it down, grabbed a soda, turned on the radio....and it's where I have been all afternoon.

So Home Expo has two more amazing days of shopping....but I've walked those sims all week and my feet are killing me!!  Today, I decided to do a little R&R....so I grabbed this adorable number from .:pure:. , tied back my hair and headed out.  This little hideaway from ~*~ Inspired ~*~ offered the perfect place to relax and enjoy the early morning sunrise.  Amidst the sound of gulls and the crash of waves, the soft breeze of the morning I was able to snap a few shots.

I have to admit, I am a sucker for cute little sailor like outfits.  It may or may not be because I was in the Navy myself when I got out of high school...(years and years ago...lol) but the sailor look has always been a classy fun look to me.  This outfit is from Pure and cost me less then a designer bag would in SL....speaking of, I think they had a few designer bags out....I need to go back and grab one.  BUT for now, I am heading back into the cozy little Helmsman Cottage, grabbing a book and maybe a nap in the bedroom....I know I know, it's still so early.

You can never have too many naps.

Happy New Year....

I have to say, I love the direction I have seen Rebel Hope Designs taking.  Her designs have always been quality, but limited to gowns and wedding dresses and well, I can only wear a gown so often.  Lately though, with her dip into mesh, she has been coming out with some stellar outfits that are classy and so well done, I have been shelling out hand over fist of lindens to get these new styles! 

Her most recent outfit makes my day!  The Charlie Mesh Pants and Sweater....Um HeLLO!  Scream Style and Class.  She's always been known for that and I am just so glad she is branching out to other things. 

Also, Wasabii Pills, why do I love you so?  Oh yes, that's right, because you got this adoreable hair that is perfect for the winter season and just so happens to go awesome with my new Charlie outfit!  WHAT!  YES IT DOES!!!  It has a hud too, so you can change the colors of the hat, button, and thread....great deal found over at FaMESHED!  (The Charlie Outfit is over there too....go get it)

So with my new outfit and hair, I flopped down into my newest design from ~*~Inspired~*~ and got to work.  With the new year already started, I feel like I am way behind on a lot of things, but I am excited about the coming year and all the things I want to learn and do....

Look forward to hearing more about ~*~ Inspired ~*~ and well...clothes of course.....a little bit of everything this coming year but my main goal, when it comes to this blog.....at least once a week.  If I can do more, great....but I have to do that at least.

Have you ever noticed....when someone brings up a certain topic of conversation, the instant mental picture we give them in our head?  I mean, not bad images, just these pictures we make up of them depending on the conversation or the personality of them...just images we have?  Well, I guess I do it anyway, even if no one else does...

I was talking to someone today and thought to myself...she prolly thinks I am sitting behind my stove all day in an apron....when really I am laid out on my couch stuck in second life....but then I am also running errands and working...and living my SL and RL....so if someone were like me and imagining me in so many ways...I imagine they will have a lot of different views.  SOooooOOooo because this will take me forever to get through, I shall do one at a time.

But Baby....This Tree Has a Face!

In the spirit of fall, I went exploring this morning.  I visited sims with ghosts and goblins and stumbled over a few tree's with faces...that made me laugh.  Tree's with faces.....

SOOooOooOoo a few weeks back RH and I went hunting for some good trees and my GO TO for tree's is Forest Floor....I love the ability to shift the seasons without moving a tree....anyways, we also wanted to check out Organica.....so off to Organica we go....we wander, we roam, and we stop in front of this tree and I say.  "No no, its so much for one tree and we can get a whole set at Forest Floor."

I mean, for me it was sound reasoning, but him....-smiles so wide- I think that man is bloody adorable.  I know he rolls his eyes everytime I say it, but it's true....so we are standing there and we are looking at this tree and its a scary Halloween face tree....and I am like.  "No lets go back to Forest Floor."

"But Baby....this one has a face on it!"

-.-;;  Sometimes he says stuff and I just fall for him all over again and this was one of those times.  We got the face tree....and the Forest Floor pack. 

All this for this one comment.  I didn't need to roam all over for a photogentic place, we had the scary tree with the face back at home...and so taking shots this morning, I DIDN'T EVEN GET THE TREE!! -flails-  But I did stake out the huge one with the hands all grabby...-points at the shadow- It can get scary out there....even at home.

Blogs & Boots

Recently, I was accepted into a group to blog for them.  I was totally excited at the opprotunity.  As a relatively new blogger, I was just eager!  Well.....as the items came in, I was finding many of them were not things I would blog.  They were not things I liked or ...I just feel like this is my platform here, this blog and what I put here, I should feel passionate about.  I certainly do not want to put something here I don't like....while a good review is great, they weren't bad quality items, just not anything I liked.  So then what?  What to dooooo?

I contacted the manager and explained that while I really appreciated the opprotunity, I didn't think I could keep up my end of the deal here.  I didn't want to remain in the group, getting free items, when I wasn't going to actually blog them.  It seemed unfair and wrong somehow.  So I did what I would have wanted someone to do with me.  I was honest. 

I explained that while they were quality items, none of them were anything I wanted to blog or buy and I couldn't, in good conscience, blog them.  I unjoined the groups and told the manager I would do one more advertisement for the group to help best I could. 

She responded that I was aware of the theme and that I was obligated to continue to blog and would be able to leave next month.

I was...shocked.  She wasn't rude at all, not at all, but the idea that I was OBLIGATED for a month to blog, regardless of my own likes, was...a shock.  I am not sure how to proceed.  I want to do what is fair and right, but....at the expense of my legitimacy?  Is that the right word?  I mean...when I say "I love this!" I want to mean it....I don't want to fake blog!!! LOL

I don't know, I am not sure how to proceed other then to let it be and just be true to what I like and love.  What would you do?!

But in other news...GOOD NEWS..... ~*~ Inspired ~*~ Is officially open and I wonder if I am up to it. I wonder if what I love building is something others will love too.  We have had a few little highs this week....things that just encourage.  We were accepted into the Stores & Creators group, which YAY! makes me so excited.  We got all set up for the new SLoupon group too....another accomplishment.  The Autumn Coffee Deck is selling like hot cakes....lol....but yesterday we got these boots, for the sole purpose of putting them with a garden set....

Only....I love them.  They are too cute to do nothing with and we got invited to a fair coming up so we thought...Hey, lets do something with the boots.  6 pairs of boots, 8 variations of zippers, 4 packs of acorns, a search for pretty leaves, a couple sticks, and lots of skulls and candy corns later...with a snag of twizzlers...we had six pair of boots.  I can't take mine off....and maybe its cheesy to blog my own boots, but gosh I do really like them.

Even if after I boxed them, advertised them, and sent out review copies....I realized they were both left feet....-hangs head-  It's truly a reflection of me....RH was patient though and just said "You know, when I look up close, they look like two left feet."

"What's that you say?  Oh no no, its your graphics card, pay no mind..." as I scramble to fix them, then the ones in Marketplace, and then the ones in the store....-sighs-  I expect some detailed oriented blogger will tell you today "That ~*~ Inspired ~*~ Designer has two left feet."  

Well, it wouldn't be too far off the mark....lol

You ~*~ Inspire ~*~ Me....Me....

Again, inspiration struck....at 6am yesterday morning and when I logged in I went looking...I wanted something sleek, simple, elegant....you know, one of those gowns that is just simply stunning but begged for accessories?  Only the accessories never drown out the elegance of the gown?  I don't know if I am making sense, but Rebel Hope was the first place I looked.  Unfortunately, in her main store, I couldn't find the perfect one.  I stopped looking.  HA HA I guess I figured, if it wasn't there, it wasn't anywhere.

But this morning, unable to get the vision out of my head, I went back to the Vintage Fair.

Wouldn't you know?  Rebel Hope's Perfect In My Head Gown....was there!  I snagged it....ran home...and got to work on the headpiece.  I knew I wanted the top hat.  I had to have a long veil....only because the back sorta...begs for it?  My clothes do a lot of begging...he he.

So finally, after, I don't know, HOURS IT SEEMED of me and RH fudging with the veil....we got this TADA FINGERS!!   You can snag that veil HERE!!

When I went to take the photos though, I got a lil intimidated.  One, I didn't know if I could make it look like it was in my head.  Two, you never wanna do a blog on a designer and...not do it well?  I just wanted it to be perfect I guess.  So...I hope it is.  I love the way the photos came out and I really absolutely wanted to try the Trash the Dress pose....without actually trashing the dress...cause I love it.  So...-smiles and passes out- I think I managed it!
