Not Standard Issue....

Today is...as everyone in the USA knows....our Observed Veteran's Day.  As a vet myself, I just have a few things to say....cause today I get to say it....

We have freedom of speech....and so many of us use it to speak about those that defend that and so many other rights for us....and alot of it isn't nice.  When we are offered the chance to honor their sacrafice, let us use that freedom of speech to uplift, support, and respect the military. When you are safe from all foriegn threats...when people willingly sign up to defend this nation, we get to say "Thank You".  When someone stands up and accepts the sacrafice of being away from their families, missing birthdays, Christmas', and special moments of the lives of their loved ones...to protect people they do not even know, we get to say "We are so grateful".  You, me, this Nation.  When they bravely walk into a war, knowing whether they live or not, they will be forever changed...a missing limb or a missing piece of their hearts....they come home changed, we get to say "I am honored to know you...".

The highest form of dishonoring this sacrafice is to complain.  When there is war, there is no question....they go....they serve....and they protect....and when they come home, they are never the same.  Sometimes...their souls are sacraficed, their peaceful sleep is ruined, their lives are changed in a way that can never be explained....

So say thank you and honor them the way they have honored us.

Samhain Gacha & The Cinema

There were a ...and still are some great events out there and I went to a few this weekend.  I dropped through the Samhain Gacha (From the 12th to the 30th!!) and grabbed these adorable chucks from ZC...and I got the red, the blue, and these...I am going back they got a cute pink and gray pair I want so bad bad! 

Then I snagged this top from AUX at The Cinema event...omgoshness...I spent so much linden but omgoshness how cute is this top?!  They set perfect with the jeans from u.f.o.....I think I got this last year and I've been looking for a reason to wear them...I thought today was a good day for the 'skull eat my pants' and they matched the sneakers great!

Then this snazzy vehicle...yeah...the broom?! OMG It has sparkles flying out of it when you fly and oh yes, there is flying animation with it.  I adore the broom and I think I will get a lot of use out of it.  AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH! It can be like, the warning vehicle!  LOL

Imagine This Topic Challenge!!

Have you ever noticed....when someone brings up a certain topic of conversation, the instant mental picture we give them in our head?  I mean, not bad images, just these pictures we make up of them depending on the conversation or the personality of them...just images we have?  Well, I guess I do it anyway, even if no one else does...

I was talking to someone today and thought to myself...she prolly thinks I am sitting behind my stove all day in an apron....when really I am laid out on my couch stuck in second life....but then I am also running errands and working...and living my SL and RL....so if someone were like me and imagining me in so many ways...I imagine they will have a lot of different views.  SOooooOOooo because this will take me forever to get through, I shall do one at a time.

 I think it would be so much fun to see what others come up with!!

Working Hard....

I am so tired!  And I am so sorry too...cause I mean to do more of these, I love love to blog.  It's a lot of fun for me.  Lately, I have been so busy with ~*~Inspired~*~ that I haven't had a lot of time.  On top of that, we are moving and normally in SL it takes me 2.3 hours to move, but we have decided to build everything for our new home, including the home, so it's a bit more time consuming. 

BUT....we finished the house.  I can't believe I actually did any of it...it is so beautiful with these rich woods and comfortable corners and..the kitchen.  -just sighs-  I hope we can get the living room done by Christmas though, I need a huge tree in there and I might get lucky and have some hunky lumber jack go cut me down one....sorry, I drifted into romance novel for a second there.  -hangs head- but with all that going on I haven't had a lot of time here.  Promise though, I shall do better!

With that said, I met a really nice woman yesterday, Phedre Rexie.  She stopped through ~*~Inspired~*~ and chatted a bit and turns out she makes jewelry.  That's like candy for the blogger and you bet I did go on over there later and get me some candy!

That cute colorful lil bracelet there?  Yep, Baubles!  AND So very cost effective and starting out as a new designer myself, I know its great to find a good deal on great stuff. (BUILDING IS EXPENSIVE!)

The crop top is from *BOOM*...the new Twenty-Three Tee....so so cute and like all *BOOM* Awesome it comes in a variety of flavas (colors for less jive people) (Side note: I have no idea where that came from)  AND SO....moving along....23 options for this beauty.  OMG RIGHT?! If you can't find something you like in so many options, then friends.....I don't know what to tell you.  BOOM DADDAAA DAADA...

The jeans...they are new too, for me, from TOXIC and super cute.  I admit I have worn them four times since I got them...last week.  New favorite jeans!!!  They come with those boots too, its all together.  I suggest you hop over there RIGHT NOW, grab these.  Then you will have a new pair of favorite jeans too.  Just sayin!

But Baby....This Tree Has a Face!

In the spirit of fall, I went exploring this morning.  I visited sims with ghosts and goblins and stumbled over a few tree's with faces...that made me laugh.  Tree's with faces.....

SOOooOooOoo a few weeks back RH and I went hunting for some good trees and my GO TO for tree's is Forest Floor....I love the ability to shift the seasons without moving a tree....anyways, we also wanted to check out Organica.....so off to Organica we go....we wander, we roam, and we stop in front of this tree and I say.  "No no, its so much for one tree and we can get a whole set at Forest Floor."

I mean, for me it was sound reasoning, but him....-smiles so wide- I think that man is bloody adorable.  I know he rolls his eyes everytime I say it, but it's true....so we are standing there and we are looking at this tree and its a scary Halloween face tree....and I am like.  "No lets go back to Forest Floor."

"But Baby....this one has a face on it!"

-.-;;  Sometimes he says stuff and I just fall for him all over again and this was one of those times.  We got the face tree....and the Forest Floor pack. 

All this for this one comment.  I didn't need to roam all over for a photogentic place, we had the scary tree with the face back at home...and so taking shots this morning, I DIDN'T EVEN GET THE TREE!! -flails-  But I did stake out the huge one with the hands all grabby...-points at the shadow- It can get scary out there....even at home.

I Work Out!

True STORY!

When I first came to SL it was for the sole purpose of Role Play.  I am a writer at heart....and one of the places I found along my search was Perdition.  It holds a fond place in my heart because I met one of my dearest friends there and well...played a whole lot of fun things!  In any case, one day not last fall, but the fall before...I went and got on some sweats and cute lil shoes and my new hair from Truth...and I decided I was going to RP my Lawyer character out for a jog.  So I am all excited and I tp on over there and I go running around the sim.  Cause you know, I am jogging. 

Running running running....and then I get this IM...."Umm, I don't know if you know it or not....but your naked."

I stop....surly not.  I mean, his graphics are prolly messed up or wishful thinking, ya know?!  Only, then group chat opened up and someone else was like. "I just saw Krysta run pass naked!"

By this time I was doing Yoga in the park....naked.

I about died.  Just saying, I don't wanna be naked in Perdition.  I wanna be jogging in Perdition, in my new hair.  At least that part was on.  So I tped my naked butt outta there so fast and I was ...mortally embarrassed.  I really do think I died a little that day.  -sighs-  LOL BUT today when I threw on Intrepids new Track Suit, I was reminded of that day.  I am really excited about Intrepids growth.  Initially they had a very small inventory but it is growing every day and I love the new things the designer is coming out with. 

See mah ABS!  How cool is that?  I broke down, I went to go see Alena over at Pink Fuel....between Wow Skins and Pink Fuel, I feel like my love for any other skin is slowly drifting away....SO While scooping out that Alena skin, I found this cute little abs tattoo....-grins- I feel all...not sitting in this chair blogging right now, but like....like....

Ode To Fall....

So, today is the first offical day of fall, since yesterday was the last day of Summer, right?  Well....either or, I am ready for the fall months and that crisp feeling in the air.  I want all my windows open and all my leaves falling!

ODE TO FALL!!!  I know I blogged these pants before, but BOOM has a new color pack out and these matched pretty perfect to the new Top from Cracked Mirror.  I will be honest, I cannot get enough of these slacks.  I love how comfy they look and the shadows on them are pretty realistic. 
I don't go to Cracked Mirror often, but the plaid = fall....just saying and it's a super cute pairing if you ask me!! -grins-

Barbie Girl Challenge!

What does Vintage, pink, and SecondLife have in common?  Umm...BARBIE!!!  Okay well maybe not Barbie, but when I think of those three things, I have to think Barbie.  For years now Ky has been calling SecondLife our grown up Barbie's and while I am very mature -serious face-

I SO LOVE PLAYING BARBIES!  I don't think any little girl really grows out of it, we just change it to other things, like.....SecondLife? 

So me and Ky thought we should do a Barbie Shoot and sorta give our version of how we think Barbie would look here in SecondLife.  I choose a more modern sleek look and Ky wanted to show off her stuff from the Pink Ribbon Fair that is going on until the 25th!

I didn't put on shoes, because I wanted to use SLINK's tiptoes to pay homage to the how Barbie always looks like she is wearing heels, even when I can't find them cause they are at the bottom of the toy chest....just sayin'!

Taking photos with her is always a 'special' kind of challenge.  It goes a lil something like this:
